Pre Order Shipping Policy
1. Definitions
Pre order: An order for a product placed before it is available for purchase
Sea shipping: Sea shipping is the movement of goods by ship, either partially or entirely by sea
Express shipping: A fast delivery service from China to South Africa
Courier: The dispatch of the goods after goods are delivered to Raw Strawberry
Shipping time: Time it takes to ship the goods from the supplier to South Africa
Processing time: Time it takes for the supplier to complete the order
Lead time: Processing time plus shipping time
2. Pre Orders
Items that are not available immediately in stock are on pre order. A pre order deposit 50% of the order or Laybuy deposit 25% of the order is required for Raw Strawberry to place an order on behalf of the customer. Upon arrival of the order, the customer is required to pay the remaining balance plus courier fee. For Laybuy deposits the customer is required to pay the subsequent deposits over four (4) equal installments from the initial date of purchase. Every 30 days from the initial date of purchase. Failure to pay the remaining balance within 30 days will result in Raw Strawberry selling the goods in order to make up for the money spent on purchasing and shipping. The customer who fails to pay will lose their initial balance and the order.
3. Shipping
Due to the exponential increase in the express shipping fees to South Africa. In order for us to keep our product prices from going up we are henceforth applying a blanket condition for all pre orders. All pre orders will now be defaulted to the sea shipping option.
However, you do still have the option to expidite your order. This option will incur extra shipping fees minimum R290 depending on the volumetric weight of your parcel. Should you opt for expiditing your order, this fee will be sent to you once your parcel has been weighted and ready for shipping to South Africa. If not expressly indicated upon placing the order, that your order should be expidited we will take it as default sea shipping. Once your parcel has been sea shipped it cannot be expidited.
4. Courier fee
Courier fee is R70 across the country. Delivery takes 2 to 3 working days. Courier fee is exclusive from the product cost. If goods to be couriered are big or many the courier fee will be R100
5. Lead Time
The lead time for pre order items is equal to the processing time plus shipping time. Processing time is 1 to 2 weeks. Shipping time depends on the shipping option. Express shipping is 1 to 2 weeks. Sea shipping is 4 to 6 weeks.
Express lead time is 2 to 4 weeks
Sea shipping lead time is 5 to 8 weeks
